Marc Jacobs is an American fashion designer known for his playful, nostalgic, and utterly distinctive approach to design. In 1986, Jacobs introduced his first collection bearing the Marc Jacobs label, which was followed by a brief (and notorious) stint as the creative director of Perry Ellis. In 1997, Jacobs was given the reigns at Louis Vuitton, where he created some of the brand’s most iconic it-bags and launched groundbreaking collaborations with Stephen Sprouse, Takashi Murakami, and many others. Marc Jacobs began offering fragrances in 2001, in conjunction with Coty. Marc Jacobs for Women was their first offering, followed by a companion men's scent in 2002. His most famous perfume Daisy, was launched in 2007 and remains a bestseller to this day.
