Aventus by Creed Review: A Powerful Top Fragrance for Men

Welcome to it. Yes, one of the most hyped perfume reviews in history. OK, that’s a bit of a dramatic opening, but it remains, Aventus by Creed is one of the most popular mens’ fragrances on earth.

And our Aventus by Creed review is sure to be one of our more popular articles.

So let’s get down to it.

About Aventus by Creed

aventus by creed review

Aventus by Creed hit perfume shelves in 2010. Creed, historically, is a producer of top scents. Their fragrance almost always hits best-seller lists and reviews are typically excellent. So it is no surprise that Aventus would rush to the top of the market in a short time.

Perfumers Jean-Christophe Herault and Erwin Creed created the fragrance. Jean-Christophe is the nose behind 62 powerful fragrances, while Erwin is a seventh-generation Parisian perfumer. He’s a modern member of a legacy fragrance family.

The two perfumers combined to craft a stunning mens’ fragrance.

One of the big detractions with Aventus is its per bottle cost. An entire bottle can run you near $400. But alas, we have Aventus samples in stock. So you can try it out and decide for yourself if this fragrance is worth a top dollar.

Aventus Review: What Does It Smell Like?

We’ll begin with the notes used by Herault and Creed.

At the top, we find blackcurrant, apple, bergamot, and pineapple.

In the middle, we get dry birch, rose, Moroccan jasmine.

In the base notes, we find musk, oakmoss, ambergris, and vanilla.

Aventus notes compile to exude a fruity yet woody and musky fragrance experience. According to Creed, Aventus’ scent captures the time lived by Emperor Napoleon. I’m going to be honest here, I have no idea what that should smell like. That said, Aventus pops a pineapple open like few others (if any others) do. The woody notes fill in aggressively over the first hour. It’s a nice transition, but nothing subtle about it.

Overall, you may pick up a floral, almost aquatic scent profile.

In terms of scent longevity, you are looking at about 6-hours of peak performance. Read our perfume longevity guide if you want to understand more about perfume longevity. You’ll learn how to get the most out of your fragrances.

Creed Aventus Marketing, Commercials

Creed as a company doesn’t shy away from behemoth commercial campaigns. That’s the same case for Aventus, which has a commercial and “story” to compliment.

Final Notes

Aventus by Creed is a top, upscale perfume. It’s pricey, but MicroPerfumes carries Aventus samples. Its fruity, pineapple opening is one of a kind. It sharply transitions into a woody experience.

Aventus by Creed is a luxurious experience, but it isn’t an economical buy. Definitely try it out first.
