Billie Eilish Your Turn II Review: Darker, Fruitier, and Worth the Upgrade?

Billie Eilish's fragrance line has done something most celebrity perfume brands don't: it's gotten progressively more interesting with each release.

Her debut, Eilish, was a warm vanilla gourmand that felt safe but genuinely good. It was well-recieved from her fans (but that is to be expected).

Eilish No. 2 leaned into palo santo and black pepper and surprised everyone with how niche it smelled.

Your Turn brought woody spice and sandalwood into the picture, pulling decidedly unisex.

And now there's Your Turn II. Her fifth fragrance. This girl is on FIRE!

Eilish herself says Your Turn II smells "warm and fruity but also smoky and mysterious."

Let's talk about whether that's actually true.

What's In It

Your Turn II is an EDP that opens with pimento berry, mirabelle plum, and cassis leaves. The pimento brings heat and spice, the mirabelle is soft and jammy, and the cassis adds a sharp green edge. The opening is genuinely interesting but its also gone in a flash.

The middle notes settle into fig nectar, black tea, and vanilla orchid. This is where the fragrance earns its complexity. Fig and black tea together create something dry and slightly medicinal, then the vanilla orchid softens the whole thing into something warmer and more approachable. It doesn't stay sweet for long.

The base is natural vetiver, olibanum resin, and Virginia cedarwood. Earthy, woody, resinous. It's where the "smoky and mysterious" part of Eilish's description actually lands.

How It Compares to the Original Your Turn

The original Your Turn opened with cardamom, ginger, and bergamot before settling into peach, coconut water, and sandalwood. It was warm and cozy, with a powdery quality on the drydown that pulled it toward skin-scent territory.

Your Turn II is a harder left turn than the name implies. It's fruitier up top, drier in the middle, and more resinous at the base. Where the original was soft and inviting, Your Turn II is more guarded. It reveals itself slowly.

Fragrantica reviewers describe it as changing constantly in the first few hours, shifting between its fruity opening, a rich black tea heart, and a creamy cedarwood finish. One reviewer put it well: it's like "each note was fighting for dominance, but not aggressively, more like an easy gradual shift."

That evolution is actually what makes it worth trying.

The Honest Take

Longevity is solid. Multiple reviewers logged six to eight hours of wear, which puts it ahead of a lot of celebrity fragrances in this price range. Projection is moderate, closer to a skin scent than a room-filler, which fits Eilish's overall aesthetic.

It's definitely more mature than anything else in her lineup. Less sweet, more layered, and it leans far enough unisex that it genuinely works on anyone. If you found the original Your Turn too powdery or too soft, this one will probably click better for you.

The $90 price tag is on the higher end for celebrity fragrance. But at this point, Eilish Fragrances has earned the right to sit in that tier. The quality has been there across the line.

Not Sure Where to Start With Billie Eilish Fragrances?

Your Turn II is still a relatively new release, but the earlier entries in her lineup are already available to sample. If you want to understand how her fragrance sensibility has evolved before committing to the newest bottle, starting with the original Eilish or Eilish No. 2 is a great way in. Both are available in sample and travel sizes at MicroPerfumes.

Final Notes

Your Turn II is the most ambitious fragrance Billie Eilish has released. It doesn't chase what's trending, it doesn't play it safe, and it takes a few hours to fully reveal itself. That's not a criticism. That's exactly what makes it interesting. Whether it's an upgrade over the original comes down to what you want from a fragrance: if cozy and soft is your thing, stick with Your Turn. If you want something that keeps you guessing, Your Turn II is the one.
