Versace Crystal Noir Review: Getting To Know The Basics

versace crystal noir review

Crystal Noir is a women’s perfume by Versace, a brand whose reputation in both fashion and fragrances is unrivaled. Anytime Versace creates anything, we amp up our expectations.

Donatella Versace said of Crystal Noir that it’s a “rare essence.” It was launched in 2004 and has maintained popularity ever since. Although, comparatively speaking, there are many other more popular perfume samples on our site. Sample popularity doesn’t always equate to quality, but it is one consideration.

What Does Crystal Noir Smell Like?

The top notes are ginger, cardamon, and the unusually deployed pepper. In the middle notes, we find coconut, orange blossom, peony. The base notes consist of musk, sandalwood, and amber.

Crystal Noir is a very feminine experience. It’s a boldly seductive fragrance that offers spice and vibrance. Crystal Noir just sort of jumps off the skin after the initial spritz. Its richness provokes and enchants.

Crystal Noir is one of the more underrated women’s perfumes on the market. Unfortunately, Versace doesn’t push Crystal Noir all that much, which has led to a sort of fragrance dormancy.

The coconut and gardenia impose themselves immediately while the pepper kicks in the spice. Crystal Noir is a fun fragrance that can be enjoyed year-round and is especially fun for fall/winter seasons.

How Long Does Crystal Noir Fragrance Last?

Not as long as we might like, maybe six good hours.

Crystal Noir Advertisements, Commercials

Versace goes for the “ethereal vibe” in their Crystal Noir commercial. While we enjoy the fragrance, this commercial, shot in black and white reel, feels cheap. It’s just a hard watch. But hey, we don’t buy perfumes because their commercials are fantastic (well, let’s be honest, some people do).

Final Notes

Crystal Noir is a fun, vibrant, sexy perfume for women. It’s both understated and underrated. Versace’s lack of marketing prowess regarding Crystal Noir has probably led to less popularity, but it’s a good quality perfume.
